Rus Imperial Group aims to become a first class modern well engineering company providing its clients with high quality services and value for money.

The company’s strategy is to:

  • Acquire additional drilling equipment to increase drilling, completion and workover capability in the Tomsk region and other regions of Western Siberia
  • Enter into long-term contracts with key oilfield production companies in Western Siberia to enhance the company’s revenue base
  • Broaden the scope of services to include well design, well engineering supervision, well completion including the ability to frac wells, sidetracking, procurement and logistics
  • Provide customers with added value services and drilling cost savings by applying efficient and up-to-date project management techniques, and including options for transportation of equipment
  • Provide drilling maintenance and repair services to third parties from its service centre at Strezhevoy (Tomsk region)
  • Where and if advantageous terms can be agreed, acquire or form strategic alliances with other oilfield services companies in the Tomsk region
  • Medium-term: to move to other geographies such as Eastern Siberia and the Volga region

  • Experience in the design, construction, transportation and installation of the latest Chinese drilling rigs
  • Experienced local management team, with a skilled workforce, in the Tomsk region providing modern international drilling techniques
  • Located in an increasingly important and active oil exploration and producing area of Russia, Western Siberia, where there is considerable demand for experienced drilling service operators
  • An initial base load of work by Imperial Energy supporting RIG’s revenues in 2008 and beyond
  • Access to support services from Imperial, including fraccing and logistics support
  • Excellent contacts in the Tomsk region, providing a strong base to expand organically
  • Well positioned to take advantage of a fragmented oilfield services market in the region providing opportunities to expand by acquisition
  • Operations in a sector where there are strong market opportunity factors (including a strong oil price), which will continue to encourage exploration and therefore drilling in an increasingly important oil producing region
