Galina Chalova, Chief Executive Officer
Galina Chalova, aged 41, has extensive experience in the oil industry in Western and Eastern Siberia. In 2006 Galina moved to Tomsk to join Tomskburneftegas as director of the projects implementation department. In 2003 - 2005, Galina had worked for YUKOS EP, Moscow as manager for Eastern Siberia responsible for the external borrowing and economy & finance departments of Sakhaneftegas in Yakutsk, and for international economic relations of Vostsibneftegas (now Rosneft). Prior to this and since 1993 she worked for Tomskneft (from 1998 YUKOS, now Rosneft) in the Tomsk region, holding various positions, the last five years of which as head of international economic relations.
Sjouke Hijlkema, Chief Operating Officer
Sjouke Hijlkema, aged 51, is a European engineer with 24 years experience with Shell. He worked for 16 years in various positions in well engineering in the Netherlands, Brunei, the UK and Canada. Prior to joining Imperial in 2007, he worked for TNK-BP as supervision manager in Russia and prior to this at Shell International in the roles of head of operations, superintendent and drilling manager in Nigeria, Brazil and Russia, respectively from 1998. Previously, he was a drilling manager for Occidental in the Netherlands. Sjouke has been a member of SPE and the Federation of European Engineers FEANI since 1993.
Eugeny Achkasov, Engineering Director
Eugeny Achkasov, aged 43, has worked for over 20 years in the oil industry with Sibneft (now Gazpromneft), latterly as department head for well construction and repair at Noyabrskneftegaz, Tyumen region and Sibneft-Vostok in Tomsk. He graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute in 1987 and qualified as an Engineer of Mining (drilling oil and gas wells).
